No musical background is necessary, just a love of pre-17thC choral music. If you have enough of an ear to sing a familiar tune twice in a row and have it come out sounding approximately the same both times, we can teach you everything else you need to know.

Rehearsals are on Sundays, from 2:00-4:00pm, in a private home near Woodroffe and Hunt Club, accessible by 94 and 95 bus routes. Email Marie for exact directions. Practices generally take place from September to May, we traditionally take a break for the summer camping season.

These practices are 100% voluntary, but members are encouraged to attend as often as they can, and to use the website to practice on their own for any nights they miss. We want to make it as easy as possible for people to miss the occasional practice and still keep up (we all have lives, after all), but we do intend to perform some of these pieces in public from time to time, and that means we need to keep moving forward.

Strong vocalists who can't make regular practices for geographical or other logistical reasons, but are confident learning the music on their own, are welcome to join us for event performances provided they can join us for any event-day practices and warmups. Anyone interested in doing this should email Marie in advance to make arrangements.

Note that the preceding paragraph applies to formal performances only. Anyone and everyone is invited to join us for the impromptu singing that seems to materialize any time three or more of us end up in the same place at the same time. :)
